Kismet
Destiny, Fate, Meant to be.
This magazine originally started as a university project but has grown into something deeper. I had the opportunity to explore. Kismet means “destiny or fate” and when I started this project, I was in a space of exploring what this meant to me and how I could apply it to the lifestyle I was and will always be after.
The original intention of this magazine started as just interviewing other surf photographers on what kismet means to them and/or do they even believe in destiny. I have realized that this magazine turned into advice for anyone waiting for the right time to take the leap of faith and chase after their dream. There will never be the right time and there will always be a reason or excuse to not do it, but if you follow your heart, the rest will fall into place.

Mini Book Series
This mini book series focuses on Pete Cabrinha, Jack Soren, and Eduardo Bolioli. These three artists are immersed in surf culture and explore this theme in very different styles. I decided to make the series centric on surf culture because I am in the process of finding what my style of art is. I have the common thread with these artists that fuels my work, the ocean and the culture that is created from being in and around it. It was a beautiful process seeing how these artists express this one idea, and the connection to the natural world.
